The Client Brief

The Client Brief (Audience in the community)

The client brief is a project that we had to work on in small groups and within a sleeted part of plymouth, I our group one person had to pick a bit of paper out of the hat and then that was the area you had to find work in, we got the barbican. This is a lovely part of plymouth and with some lovely business, at the start i was a little worried that i had been given the barbican as i did not feel there was going to be much verity of business but once i had gone down there and had a good look around and made notes of business that interested me i started to see how i could use this project to get out there and try something different.

I do not have very long to do this project so within the first few days of it being set i had been down to many of the business. I was going to work with someone from my course but after doing our research we found that our first idea was not going to work. we split and went our own ways in finding a business.
I had two main company's to choose from, i found it hard to pick one but after our group chat i felt much more confutable with the business i was going to go for.

I went for Sam Cox Bridal wear in the end as i felt that this would give me the chance to do something very different from what i am used too. I went into the bridal shop and talked with sam her self and i found her very welcoming and happy for me to do my project on them, i then went onto arranging a date to do my first photo shoot by email.  My first photo shoot was very successful i was able to work around the shop with out any problems and i found the staff very helpful and easy to get on with, i found it quite interesting to have the chance to photograph such a rang of dress and other bridal items. It really got me thinking about how to photograph the dress and what parts of the dress i should focus on if i did not get the hole dress in the photo, i was working with different views and trying to make the images look interesting and different, while keeping in mind that they need to still look elegant and smart.

So far this has been very successful, i will be going back to take some more photo's and work on any images that did not work out as well in the last photo shoot.
